Runcell Terms of Service

Welcome to Runcell. By registering and using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. What Runcell is

Runcell is a fitness app with gameplay elements:

You record walks, runs and bike rides
You capture territory on an H3-hexagon map
You earn coins and experience points
You compete on the leaderboard
You join clans, chat, and post in the clan feed
You unlock achievements and buy cosmetics in the shop

Runcell is not a medical device. We don’t provide medical or training advice. Exercise mindfully based on your physical condition and consult a doctor if needed.

2. Registration

You can register in two ways: with an email and password, or with Sign in with Apple. The terms are the same for both.

You must be over 13 years old
You agree to provide an accurate email and nickname
One account per person — don’t create duplicates
You must not impersonate anyone else
Your nickname must not infringe the rights of others (trademarks, right to a name) or contain vulgar or offensive language
You must keep your password secret and not share account access

If you use Sign in with Apple, tapping “Continue with Apple” constitutes acceptance of these Terms and of the Privacy Policy — links to both are shown directly under the button.

If you already have an account with the same email address, Sign in with Apple joins that account rather than creating a second one: your territory, history and clan stay with you.

We reserve the right to block or delete accounts of violators without notice.

3. Acceptable behaviour

In clan chat, feed posts, nicknames and photos — the following is prohibited:

Insults, threats, harassment of other users
Publication of 18+ material, pornography
Incitement of hatred based on ethnicity, race, religion, gender or politics
Illegal content: drugs, weapons, extremism, terror propaganda
Advertising without our consent, spam, cheating engagement metrics
Publishing other people’s personal data
Fraud, phishing
Mass distribution of identical messages
Circumventing blocks, using multiple accounts for harassment

Anything violating these rules can and should be reported. The “Report” button is available on a chat message, on a feed post, and on a person’s profile — in the “···” menu next to Block. We review every report within 24 hours.

The same menu lets you block a person: their messages and posts will stop being shown to you. The list of blocked users is in your profile.

4. Moderation

We reserve the right to:

Delete any message, post or photo
Block, suspend or delete violator accounts
Ban a device for systematic violations
Provide data to law enforcement upon justified request
Moderate proactively, without waiting for reports

You have the right to appeal a moderation decision — email kaizerakafollen@gmail.com with details.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of your messages, posts, photos and activity tracks
By registering, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your content to other members of your clan and in general leaderboards — solely for the app to function
You warrant that your content does not infringe third-party rights: copyright, trademarks, personality rights
Upon account deletion your content is removed, though copies may persist in server request logs for up to 90 days

6. Anti-cheat

Our app is about honest movement of your own body. The following is categorically prohibited:

GPS spoofing — falsifying coordinates
Bots, scripts, automation of activity recording
Motorised transport with intentional activity type spoofing — for example, driving a car and recording it as a run
Emulator or jailbreak used to bypass server validation

For any of these — account block without notice and without refund of coins or levels.

We apply server-side validation: speed between walks, the ratio of distance covered to the number of claimed cells, and submission frequency. We reserve the right to improve these rules at any time.

7. In-game economy

In-game coins are virtual in-game currency with no monetary equivalent
They cannot be exchanged for real money
They are non-refundable in case of account deletion or block
The cosmetics shop accepts in-game coins only. Cosmetics are bound to the account and are not refundable on account deletion
We reserve the right to adjust the economy — prices, rewards, territory ownership duration — at any time

8. HealthKit and Location use

You may revoke permissions at any time via iOS Settings
The app will keep working without this data, but some features will be limited: without location you cannot record a walk
We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, do not share it with third parties (except Apple as platform provider), and do not store it in iCloud

9. Termination

9.1 By you

You can delete your account at any time:

Profile → Settings → Delete Account

Or email kaizerakafollen@gmail.com.

If you signed in with Apple, deleting your account also revokes the app’s access to your Apple ID.

9.2 By us

We may restrict or delete your access if:

You violate these Terms
Your account is inactive for over 3 years — we will notify you 30 days ahead
We discontinue the service — 60 days’ notice

Upon lawful account termination by us, purchased cosmetics, coins and XP are not refunded.

10. Liability and its limitation

We provide the service “as is”. We try, but do not guarantee:

100% uptime
Absence of bugs
Accuracy of GPS tracks and calories — this depends on your device and on HealthKit
Meeting all your expectations

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

Indirect, incidental or punitive damages
Lost profits, lost data
Leaks caused by errors in Apple, iOS or infrastructure providers

Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months — for Runcell that is zero, as there are no real payments in the app.

11. Changes to terms

We may change these Terms in the future. For material changes we will notify you:

By push notification
With a screen at next launch requiring re-acceptance

By continuing to use the app after notice, you agree to the new terms. If you disagree — delete your account.

12. Applicable law and disputes

Applicable law: the laws of the Russian Federation.

We prefer to resolve disputes amicably — email kaizerakafollen@gmail.com. If that is not possible, disputes are heard by courts at our registered location.
